Frequently asked questions.

How do I become a ConciergeMD patient?

In order to become a patient, please call 954.962.2309

Do you accept private insurance or Medicare?

We do accept private and Medicare insurance as a form of payment for the visit. The annual membership does not replace your insurance. Maintaining your insurance, whether it's private or Medicare, remains essential. This coverage ensures your hospitalization, specialist visits, radiology procedures, and necessary lab work expenses are comprehensively covered.

What should I expect during my first visit?

Our objective is to provide the highest quality care through a personalized approach. During your initial visit, we allocate up to one hour for gathering your medical history, performing a comprehensive physical examination, and conducting advanced diagnostic blood work. This process allows us to create a comprehensive medical profile and better understand your specific health needs.

Does every follow-up visit need to be in person?

No, we understand your busy schedule, and we acknowledge that in-person follow-up visits may not always be convenient. While the initial consultation and the first follow-up with Dr. Gilbert must be in-person, subsequent follow-up appointments can be accommodated via telehealth visit, unless a medical condition necessitates an in-person visit.

Do you offer house calls?

Certainly. ConciergeMD takes pride in delivering this exceptional level of service, offering house calls within our coverage area. Charges may vary depending on the specific location and the complexity of care, with rates beginning at $100 per visit for active concierge patients.

Can my physician provide care if I am hospitalized?

Our physicians hold privileges at Memorial Regional Hospital, Aventura Hospital, and Holy Cross Hospital. Upon admission, a hospitalist, recommended by our physicians, will oversee your care. Your physician will maintain daily communication with your hospitalist, ensuring seamless coordination with the hospitalist and any sub-specialists involved in your treatment.

What happens if I need emergency care or hospitalization?

In the case of a life-threatening emergency, please dial 911 without delay. Following your 911 call, kindly notify your physician, who will promptly organize your emergency care. In the event of hospitalization, our physicians will orchestrate all required medical attention during and after your hospital stay. A dedicated hospitalist, in collaboration with your doctor, will provide daily care while you're in the hospital. Rest assured, you will have steadfast medical support throughout your admission; you won't be on this journey alone.
